Devan Legare
CIM, CFP, CPA
Devan is Métis-Cree and has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, previously as the founder of Western Wealth Builders. His background in personal taxation, financial planning, and investment management allows him to speak to all aspects of individual, family or business owner’s financial health. Devan is a founding member of the Financial Planners Association of Canada (FPAC), co-founder of the Indigenous Finance Collective (IFC), Devan is a proud Indigenous financial professional and has made it a focus to give back to the community however he can.
Paulla Adamitz
BA, MEd, PFA
T’ansi. Paulla Adamitz nitsikahson, nehiyaw iskwew, Sucker Creek First Nation ohci niya. Paulla is the owner of Adamitz Financial Solutions Inc. in Treaty 8 territory and a co-founder of the Indigenous Finance Collective (IFC). Her grandfather Scotty Willier was Chief of her reserve for 32 years total, and her great-grandfather was a signatory to Treaty 8. She currently lives in Stony Plain, AB, in Treaty 6 territory, and her financial business is in Spruce Grove. She has a husband, 2 children, and a persnickety cat. She goes north to her home reserve whenever possible to watch her horses and the deer hang out together, and to re-connect with family.
Mike Carlson
BSc, MT, CFP
Mike is of mixed ancestry from Norway, Scotland and with paternal roots from BC’s interior (Interior Salish and Nez Pierce). Mike is a (w)holistic fee-for-service planner working in Toronto, with a +50% Indigenous client base. Mike's decolonizing efforts take shape in his work with youth as the Director of the Toronto Indigenous Youth Council (TIYC), and as Treasurer of Doctors for Doctors - a charity empowering youth through education in Nicaragua. Mike is a co-founder of the IFC and supports the collective’s efforts to increase financial literacy in Indigenous communities.
